out of no where my white 19 equinox paint started delaminating, I know there's a lawsuit for bigger suvs and trucks but nothing about any others. I have contact gm they told me to take it to get looked at so I did and was told its out of warranty, which technically it is. I talked to gm again and there's nothing they would do.

I contacted bbb and filed a report nothing happened with it of course. I have everything documented with emails and dealership report.

will the lawsuit only be for bigger suvs and trucks? I have seen alot of white chevys delaminate not just the ones in the lawsuit.
Ive only driven gm in my 20+ years and with every new to me car ive had ive been more and more disappointed.

Is there any advice on what I could and should do? Is anyone else experiencing this also?

My 2019 Equinox was losing paint on the rear deck lid, around where the wiper connects. Also, on the rear left, and front left wheel wells.I have about 52000 KMS here in Canada, so road salt is used quite frequently. Apparently this is an issue with the water base paint??? I Have a 2005 Ford F150 that the paint is still quite good on. I was told that the problem with the rear deck lid is that, dirt and sand can get in between the glass and panel, and with road friction can remove the paint. It started out with a small spot. and by the time of repair had grown to approx.6 inches long by 1 1/2 inches wide. I contacted my dealer rep. and was offered 60/40 deal since we were off of warranty (7 years), as a good will deal. I think that the only way to solve this issue is to get rid of said vehicle every 4 years or whenever the warranty is off.???
