2017 Equinox Driver door Open light

The door open alert is on even though the door is closed and I am driving. The back story is about a week ago the drivers door window switch broke. I ordered a replacement from chevy and installed it. Everything was working fine. Now today this happens. I googled around and I see a post for a 2019 Nox. It said that the issue might be a wire (GRN/YEL) in the window switch harness. Anyone have any ideas? I know i need gas....

i noticed it happens after it rains. that is about it.

Check out my reply in this post. Mine was not noticing the door opening and i also had a driver window not working and it was all intermittent. I give an explanation of my repair, and as an automotive technician myself I feel your issue is going to be in the same circuit

Yes the door panel has to be removed, I would recommend having a reliable multi-meter so proper ohm checks can be done to find where the damage (if any) is.
The door pillar connector release points are located on the top and bottom of the large plastic connector, you have to push both in while wiggling the connector away from the body.

I am seeing replacement door wiring harnesses fore sale online for as low as $30, and if it is a bad wire, a replacement harness might be the easier repair vs rewiring

I think either way you will have to remove the door panel. it is cheaper to fix one wire
