As the title states, I changed he oil in my 2017 Equinox and replaced the spin on filter. Owner's Manual says 6 quarts of 5W30 with Filter. I put 6 Quarts in and it is almost a full quart low. I measured what I took out and it had almost 7 quarts and showing at the correct level before I drained it. Anyone else notice this when they changed their own oil? This was a company car bought brand new and always had oil changes done. Right away I question if dipstick is correct for car, but our company has no record of it every getting changed out. Yes, I am pushing the dipstick down all the way to seated position.

Thanks.

Anyone have input on this? I checked past receipts from dealership LOF changes when the company owned the car and it always got 6 quarts. Here is where 6 quarts puts it.
