HI folks. New to the forum and wanted to share my experience with my 2012 equinox 2.4l 4cylinder. I bought this from Carmax with 17000 miles on it. Everything seemed fine. At 20000 it would not shift gears on the interstate. Rpms would shoot to 5000, but not speed up or change to next gear. Had this problem quite a bit. Actually the only problem I have with it. Well at 23600 miles my wife runs over my son's bike, handle bar punches hole thru the plastic transmission pan and hits the TCM inside the transmission. After having new tcm and new pan installed, it runs better than it ever has. Shifts gears between 2600 and 3000 Rpms no matter what now. I love this thing now. Almost to 30000 miles now and haven't had any problems. The shop manager at my local chevy dealership said he has seen a lot of problems with the transmission control modules inside the transmission. He seemed absolutely positive that this is a major problem that GM and Chevyneeds to deal with.
