Hi everyone, I’m struggling to find information on this specific issue and hoping you can help!

Our 2012 Equinox has been connecting to an iPhone over Bluetooth with no issues. However a few days it stopped connecting. When trying to troubleshoot, the Phone Settings option in the menu simply shows “Not Available.” There is no option to pair or unpair the phone or take any other Bluetooth related action. Holding down the Phone button simply brings up a notice that there is no available call list but will not give the “Ready” response.

I’ve read in a few places to reset the Infotainment system by holding Home and FF, but this model doesn’t have a Home button.

This model does not have the touchscreen but does have a CD slot below the AC controls, which seems to determine which buttons you get on the console. We did try a Factory Reset through the menu but that only seems to have reset the clock, not even the radio presets were cleared, so I’m not sure that was effective.

If anyone has any ideas on resetting this or resolving the main Bluetooth issue I would really appreciate it. Thanks!

Was this ever solved? My 2012 Equinox is currently showing the same thing under phone settings.

Thank you for solving my issue. Yes, I had my battery tested and it was going bad (5 years old). So I replaced it and now my Bluetooth works!

Thank you Again.

I never heard back from others but if I remember correctly, I unhooked the car battery completely for a few minutes and it worked normally after that. I’m still not sure what caused it but it hasn’t come back since.

Sorry, I was just notified today of your first post so I didn’t realize you had resolved this and others had the issue. But glad you got it fixed!
