What is up with this? A new car that has cosmetic as well as major mechanical (computer) issues and a mysterious intermittent starting problem? I have only had this car for 3 months/ 5,000 miles. We travel a lot for business and can ill afford this unreliability. But really, who would settle for that in a brand new car anyway? We already got stuck once in Topeka on our way from Colorado to S. Carolina when the BCM went bad and they had to give us a loaner to complete the trip. Before and after that it has had problems starting intermittently, but when it has been towed to the dealer it then starts and they can not duplicate the problem. I thought I just had a lemon, but apparently there are a lot of these issues going on. Chevy say's the only thing they know of is the seat belt recall.....oh, sure. Has anyone actually found out why their car isn't starting? The dealer swears this isn't battery related.

Sounds like a bad batch of bcm's to me. Have you been to different dealers?
I feel as if you have a dealer that doesn't find the issue and sends you on the way is bad dealer. If they can't fix it its time for another dealer.
My thing is why are these issues coming from the 2011 and not 2010's? They need to figure out what they did differently. I know of your vehicle issues and one other vehicle from the 2011 line having problems. But the other vehicle had a stalling issue.

Problems with my Equinox
I have had problems after having the car for a couple months! My car starts up and makes random noises sometimes sounds like deisel engines. It's stalled on me once and both my keyless remotes just randomly stopped working twice at the same time. It's at the dealership now, probably not going to see any problems with it. I've already taken it once with nothing found! You think they'd read these forums and see that others are having problems...Just sayin....

I got the rattle every so often, but other then that it's been good.
