2010 Equinox LT steering wheel replacement

I'm new to the forum and joined because I just bought a 2010 Equinox LT 2.4L. The steering wheel has deteriorated and is gummy. The previous owner's fix was a steering wheel cover but I'd like to replace the steering wheel. I've tried Chevrolet parts dealers but they all say that the part is discontinued. eBay has several like mine but I can't tell if they're deteriorated either. Mine has only the cruise control buttons on the left side. Any recommendations on finding a suitable replacement?

Quick Google search: https://www.carid.com/2010-chevy-equinox-replacement-steering-wheels/ I can't imagine messing with the airbag and all that but I suppose it isn't that difficult. I saw a few You tube videos changing the wheel.

Same here. I think the most important tip I’ve seen was to leave the battery unplugged for at least 10 minutes before removing the airbag. I ordered one off of eBay for like $65. Figured it’s worth a shot
