2008 equinox will not start unless the battery is disconnected and reconnected after 10 minutes. It starts right up once you do that and will run fine until you shut it off and then have to do the whole process again. Alternator and battery have been replaced.

This sounds like an anti theft issue. My niece had a grand am that would do this occasionally. Are there any lights lit up on the dash?

This sounds like an ECM/PCM glitch—resetting the battery clears the issue temporarily, but it comes back because the car’s “brain” is getting stuck. Check for hidden error codes with a scanner (even if no check engine light is on) to see if the ECM needs reflashing. Also, inspect the anti-theft system (security light blinking?) or loose ground wires—those are common culprits in older GM vehicles. Hope a simple fix like cleaning grounds or a reprogram works!
