2008 3.6 struts/shocks

Hello there. I have a 2008 Equinox Sport, 3.6, that is sounding like it's time for some new struts and shocks. I am aware that FE3 suspension is no longer produced, at least for the Equinox/Torrents. Is there anywhere that I can get the struts and shocks still for the sport suspension? I know you can get them on car-part.com, but I'd rather not get used ones and risk having to replace them again down the road, if it can be helped. What other vehicles use the FE3 and would their shocks be compatible? I know others are having the same dilemma as myself.

Also, what is the difference between the non-sport FE3 suspension and will there be compatibility issues?
