The housing/reflector in your 2014 is designed for halogens. If you put in an LED you will do several things, worst of which is blind oncoming drivers. While LED may have a whiter light and 'look cool' there is a good chance the actual light output in lumens is at best equal to your halogens...
I rather suspect you will not be able to use a hub/port splitter since there is no embedded software in the vehicle that will allow you to choose which USB source you want to access. Why not use bluetooth for your iPhone?
Seems to me if you're looking to add some ooomph you might as well upgrade the speakers...The current speaker will work with the Pioneer amp, but if improving the overall enjoyment of the car's stereo is what you're looking for you should take the plunge and upgrade the speakers...
Not aware of anyone successfully installing an aftermarket head unit. The best way is to replace the current head unit with an Intellilink one from a scrap yard, install the harness for the USB port and get the dealer to reflash the BCM, Do-able, but worthwhile???? While you're at it replace the...
You need a different amp, replace the standard 6-channel amp with the Pioneer 8-channel one and it's good to go, plug and play, BUT, you're working in a tight space, it's a bit of a fiddle....
Or?..... Welcome! I know I don't check the forum daily, but let me be the first to say welcome and congrats on the new wheels, hope the wife enjoys them....
It would be appear to be an incorrect statement. I just took my '13 'Nox in for an alignment and from my service record copy you see all the specs, and for the rear it only specs total toe and thrust angle. Cross camber is indicated as -0.1 for the rear but there is no before/after nor a...
I use a Galaxy S3 in my '13 1LT, no problemo, BUT, for phone use only. For tunez I use a 128G flash drive in the USB socket, holds way more music than a phone can...
It's definitely not plug-n-play, the BCM needs to be reprogrammed as well. If you want maps, use Google maps on your smart phone, works a charm and WAY more cost effective than changing the head unit.
I realize this is an older post, but FWIW I have the same issue with USB and playlists on my '13 1LT, if I put the play list on shuffle and go to a different playlist I have to re-engage shuffle on the new playlist and quite frankly I would expect to have to do that. I just live with it.
Update to the last post.
We're going on a road trip soon and I wanted to have a sufficient number of tunes to carry on a 3000km trip so that we wouldn't have to listen to same tune more than once. So, I picked up a 128G flash drive and formatted it FAT32. So far I have about 60G worth of music...
I know this is an old thread, but, if the problem has not yet been resolved, others have solved his duplication problem by going into CONFIG and resetting it to factory default!
I waited with my OnStar until it was within 2 weeks of expiring and up till then the offers had just been the plain advertised ones. I was only going to go for the basic coverage -I'm not directionally challenged and know how to read a Google map- and was just about ready to do an annual package...
I use 2 32G flash drives in my '13 Nox. The MyLink system will only 'keep track' of 2 music sources, either a phone and a flash drive, or 2 flash drives. You will notice every time you start the car and the USB input was last selected and used that it will go trhough indexing again. There are 2...
