    The recall.

I took advantage of their offer. There was a lot of paperwork required to prove I had followed proper oil-change mileage in the past, but the dealer did the work. Now at 140K w no oil consumption.

    The recall.

We took advantage of the recall. GM did require an inordinate amount of paperwork to prove we had done proper maintenance during the vehicle ownership. That said, the recall worked. We're now at 140,000 mi and have had no oil burning since the rebuild.

    New plugs at 100K

I replaced them a number of years ago at 100,000 and it was very easy, so I suggest you go ahead and do it.

Hi, Im Dee and am looking for some advice on my 2017 Equinox 2.4

We've got a 2011 w 139,000 miles on it with few problems (other than GM rebuilding the engine for oil burning earlier at no cost, but that problem should have been long gone by 2017). What does Dee want advice on?

Transmission Fluid Level Check 2016 2.4 Equinox

I think there's a plug on the transmission you can remove, then stick your finger in to see if the fluid comes up to the level of the bottom of the plug hole. BUT I never was able to find it when I was crawling around under the car looking.

    Instrument Panel Lights

Lights on parts of various instrument (oil pressure gage, fuel, tach, speedometer) displays go out after a few minutes and don't come back on until the next time I drive the car. How are instruments lighted? Can problem be solved without replacing instrument cluster? Is it a hard job to...

    Not running right.

Cam position sensor recall There's a cam position sensor recall that causes those problems. I don't have a direct link, but put your car's VIN into https://www.safercar.gov/Vehicle-Owners/Check-For-Recalls/CheckForRecalls?cmpid=TSGSOR0416 and check it out.

    I4 Transmission Oil Change

The Owner's Manual for my 2011 Equinox 4-cylinder says to change the Automatic transmission fluid At 100,000 miles. This is the transmission with no dipstick/fill tube, or removable oil pan or filter. Dealer says they can do a flush (which I DON'T want) but not just exchange fluid. They say...

    Passenger Seat Track

ruley73, a submitter to the chevroletforum.com had the right idea. After trying again to remove the nuts by wedging the round bolt heads in place with no success, and having my wife move the lever up and down while I stuck my head and a flashlight on the floor looking at the track, I discovered...

    Hello

It's a good vehicle It's a good vehicle and you'll enjoy it. I've got a 2011 with over 50,000 miles and have even driven it from Virginia to Alaska and back. Good gas mileage with the 4-cyl if you drive gently. Only serious problem I have is that the visibility, to front, sides and rear, is...

    Passenger Seat Track

The mechanical passenger seat on our 2011 Equinox quit sliding back and forth. Looking underneath while moving the lever showed no problem. I tried to remove the six bolts holding the seat but found they had a round head (!) which turned when the nut was turned. Took the car to the friendly...
