Do these Equinox have subframe mount rust issues?

I have this Saturn Vue and the mount is the same part number as the 2005-09 Equinox. The part is no longer available from GM so I have to look in junkyards. Lot more Equinox than Vues to pick one from.

Get a 12 inch long 2x3" steel tubing 3/16" thick and some M14 threaded rod. Cut out the rusted mounting point and bolt it in. Weld it in for more strength if you wish. Bolt the subframe to the tubing using the original bolt and an M14 nut inside the tubing.

Are the holes in the frame rail existing holes that you use or do you have drill them?

There is one square hole at the bottom that I aligned with to drill a hole at top. The second hole I had to drill at the top and bottom. If you are a good welder, you could just weld it in without the rods.

Got the 05 equinox repaired this weekend the left side was more challenging due to all the electrical and a/c lines

Here are the before pictures didn’t have to cut off much of the bracket it all went to dust when I started taking the bolts out if GM will not stand behind this then there should be class action lawsuit this is a dangerous situation and they used this called Theta platform all the way to 2017

My 2008 is rusting bad in front of the rear wheels. I noticed the emergency brake cable hanging and found a hole rusted thru where the bracket mounts for the cable. I'm waiting for it to fold in half one of the days!LOL

Oddly enough my 05 was rusted only at the frame mounts that’s why I decided to fix it rather than scraping the vehicle our 19 equinox is going to be my last GM purchase switching to another brand
