You are very lucky to not have to deal with this hassle. GM and our Chevy dealership have been horrible to deal with. I’ve been a loyal GM owner for years, but no more. This will be my last GM vehicle. They just don’t stand behind their product anymore.

Thanks Armyhockynut, Is the battery disconnect a kit like the one Roadmaster sells for 2018 Equinox's that a similar problem? If this turns out to be the only solution, I may as well get it priced so I can get the car on the road.

Hey Armyhockynut, How do you get power to the brake assist device with the battery disconnected? Some other folks also had the emergency breakaway not work either when the battery is disconnected. Do you have that as well?
