Good to hear. I also have a fuel pressure code, it's pointing towards the fuel rail pressure sensor. I'll be putting a new one in tomorrow. I did have a problem with the charging system, alternator wasn't charging the battery and giving me a P016100 code...even with a new battery and...
Nope, I just unbolted it and pulled the entire shaft out, and it operates just fine....well, it will again soon, just finished a rebuild on the engine...I was contemplating replacing the transfer case at the same time, but decided to wait and see if it runs good after the rebuild. I priced...
Looking at the date of your post, I'm betting you solved the issue....In my case it was the timing chain, and I chose to do the water pump since I was in there. I removed the head to do a valve job, and also had I'm sure the same issue removing the Cat. I ended up dropping the entire exhaust...
Well, Saturday evening I got it started, raised compression with some tranny fluid down the spark plug holes....boy, it smoked out the neighborhood for about ten minutes. It sounded much smoother, with no ticking, however after about a minute or so it died...I'm pulling PO300 misfire....it...
My 2013....I've gone thru 3 of them...thankfully 2 under warranty. Last time it blew out doing 70mph on the interstate...felt like the driveshaft was gonna pop thru the floor. So, for now, I just unbolted the driveshaft and removed it from the car....running fine in 2wd.....
Camshaft snout? is that the end where you put the phasers...ya that Kanda looks like a snout. The intake camshaft is the longer one because it drives the HP Fuel pump. I haven't retaken apart the timing components...well except for the Tensioner that you screw in....wasn't sure it had...
To me it appears as if you're off by a tooth. I just did mine last week, and they lined up correctly or seemed to. I put the timing chain on before I installed the upper right guide with updated fastener, and put the tensioner in last. However, I am experiencing a crank-no start at the moment...
Following ...I also just completed a head rebuild and timing chain/ water pump replacement. I too put all the springs in a can to soak them. Replaced all exhaust valves and 4 intake valves. Got it all back together a couple days ago, and it would crank but not start. I'm shown low compression...
I do hope so, I just got the valve springs and keepers on last night....cleaning up the cams a bit, some scoring on the camshaft besrings .Getting closer...
I was conservative with my porting, I found this guy to be an excellent instructor...very valuable and knowledgeable, gave me the confidence to do what I've never done before. He has several videos on valvetrain issues.
Ya, and there may be a wiring harness clip you'll need to remove. There's also an insulated cover that wraps around the manifold. Once you get the manifold off, there is a little hole in the port side of the manifold that is probably clogged with carbon buildup, I cleaned it out and drilled the...
