Shoutbox good idea?

Kinda nice for chatting real-time, IMO.

It is, I just want to wait a few more week when we get more members/posts. But who knows, the chat could bring in more members. Never know.

Chat box isn't a good idea yet. When you get a bunch of members in here it would work, but at this point the posting needs to happen on the open board. Keeping activity up will show folks it's active enough to join.

On a site like this you need between 50-75 members just to get a good traffic flow throughout the day... At that point a chat box will be a great idea...

I think it would be worth looking at if we had a couple more daily post whores. We actually have quite a few just some have been really busy lately!

There have been a couple who have been out for a few weeks now.

Your site also has a ton of members! At least twice as many and about 42k more posts... So yeah that would be a great feature there.

I am sure that we will try it sooner or later.

Maybe so, but hardly anyone uses it now that it's not on
the main page anymore (Need to ask Shaggy about that)

Well, to be honest, I have it on 2 forums

www.gmfullsize.com and www.tahoeyukonforum.com

With it on gmfullsize.com, it really didn't effect post count as the forum is huge. Now with it being on tahoeyukonforum.com, it did hurt it. I will want to put this on as its a great way for members to get answers to their questions quickly and to bs together, but we need more posts on the forum before you add a chatbox/shoutbox.

I used to have more posts until you made the offtopic sections post not.count.

I have lost interest in posting there.
