Default Interesting....MAF improvement results so far

I'm always playing around, and ever since I've had a SIDI from GM I've always noticed horrible fuel trims, even stock upwards of 5% off!

Before i got rid of my Cobalt SS (this was very bad on intake kits, getting into the double digits off) I purchased a MAF straightner, I ran into that as I never installed in the Cobalt, we us similar airbox's, so I installed it into my I4 Nox just to see

So far results are very interesting!

*Has better throttle response
*No more hesitation when given the car throttle (I4 owners will know what I mean) from idle in ECO
*MPG increase! I'm typically running 400miles a tank, I have 430miles on this tank...But I need more then 1 to make sure, as I did have a few 29mpg runs previously as well

I figure a few more test in...I might even recommend this! I will have to find where I purchased it from, its just a honeycomb circle that you put before your MAF sensor in order to reduce the turbulence in the setup. I have not tired o the V6 yet, but thats next after a few more tanks in the I4

Let me get a few more tanks of gas on it...Going to have to search the Cobalt SS board, I picked it up just before I go rid of the car, it was a group buy on them, as everyone that had intake kits where having tons of tuning issues, I had tired 3 different kits before just given up and doing modified air box from ZZP (Hahn, Dejon and AEM)...I'll start doing some google searching, it was in my closet w/ the AEM intake I pulled out to put onto ebay! I'll get some photos of what I'm talking about, its just a honey combo fiber insert thing!

I track all tanks with fuelly, I will get 1-2 more fuel this week, and a few more next week (on vacation thursday-friday lol)

i agree the city mpg really sucks!! Open highway is alot better but for us its mostly city driving in our 2011 equinox.

I think through tuning I could get a 16% gain, as thats the STOCK airbox error on long term!
