Time to order a new company car, right now I have an 09 Impala (my 3rd one), and I just got the order form for a new car. We have 3 choices on the list, the 3rd I would never consider as its a Dodge Van, but the 2011 Impala is on the list (always, its a great fleet car, I have never had any of the 3 I have had in the shop, and I drive them till around 80-90k), but the 2011 Equinox 1LT I4 is on the list as well. I'm not sure if I want another in the driveway LOL...and the Impala has been such a reliable car to always get.

What would you get?

I would definitely get the Impala. Those are good, comfortable cars and I love driving them.

Impala

I've got an '02 Impala 1LT that I bought brand new in '02. Except for the intake gasket leaking on it which I fixed myself (a biggie, I know), it hasn't had any problems. Got 145,000+ on it so far and it goes 500 miles to the tank - better than either the Taurus or the Equinox.

So take the Impala, right?

Nope! If I were you, I'd pick the I-4 Equinox so I'd have it as a double-check (for problems) against MY Equinox. And you've got the 6-cylinder model, right? It'd be fun to compare two simlilarly-aged like vehicles side-by-side day-to-day for an extended period of time to see how each performs under similar circumstances. How else could you do that without having to BUY two vehicles?

Might want to make sure you will be happy with the I4 in the nox what with you driving the tuned V6 nox that you have, I know a lot of people would not be happy with the I4.

The Impala would be nice to have.

I've got a rental car for the next two weeks and it's a 2011 Impala! I love it! Definitely my choice.

LT1s are a dime a dozen now just like the small block was back in the 80's so it's nothing to build 600+ RWHP
