Well I was playing around on 1 of the "MANY" Forums
I'm on and saw "Shaggy's" siggy on GMT400 and said
2 myself WoW, I was look'n for 1 them there Forums!

I'm a Classic Truck Guru at Heart, but in the Fall of
09 We snagged this from Richie Brothers Auction in
Nashvegas, TN. Has 53 options (Most are standard)
but 1 really stood out "WD1" She had 8K on clock,
and had NEVER been titled so we stole this puppy.

She's the OBS so hopefully it was ok to join up ???

Only thing I have done to it is tint the front doors
to match the rest of it, and keep the milage down.

TY for the Welcomes, One of her options listed is
called "WD1" and it says "PILOT" out next to this.
Best we can tell it's either Special Events promo,
or maybe it was used by a GM Executive as a DD.

More pic's in Top siggy link, My project is in 2nd
siggy link, and my big arse Hauler is the 3rd linky.

I wonder if it is the same as a SS?

No...GM in 2008 (before the Nox "Sport" came out, ran 2008-2009 only) came out, GM finally figured out they are deluting the "SS" name with every line having one (malibu SS, Impala SS, Cobalt SS/NA (the non supercharged versions that had auto and 2.4L)...So in 2008 GM started changing this, only cars that where drastically different, and designed by GMPP would carry the SS badge. When the 3.6L VVT Nox came out (which it was going to be called SS, but was not different enough, nor designed for performance any other areas to carry the SS badge, they called it "Sport"). The Torrent (Pontiac version), came out w/ the GXP badge, Pontiac was not suffering the same issues as Chevy with the SS nameplate. The 3.6L Sports are the only OBS I would purchase, the Chinese 3.4L the others came with gave the OBS the bad name.

Now few cars will carry the "SS" nameplate from Chevy.

Got it thanks! Yeah I think that the only SS that I would go after would be a TB or Camaro.

Cobalt SS/TC :)

Record holder for FWD around Nurburgring, and 2nd fastest ever for its group.

Its still one of the best cars you can purchase for price....Talking performance here :)

O Yeah and I still miss my Cobalt SS at times.
Out ran a few high priced cars and even chased a vette around a corner one time, when we got on a straight part of the road he slowed down and gave me a thumbs up.
Not only that but HWY MPG was great.

The mpg being the key factor...

I actually thought the 322whp was the key factor myself coming from a 2.0L

Of course getting 32mpg @ cruise was nice as well :)

I keep looking around for another one forsale :(....though I think putting the LNF into a nice fiero gt fastback would be pretty interesting as well :0

I got 36 mpg cruising @ 80 mph in Kansas last time I was driving back from Yellowstone.
Best cruse control what with the turbo, get to a hill boost gauge goes up a few lbs and you do not even feel it.
