Took my Equinox in last Thursday and was told yesterday the check engine light was due to a bad catalytic converter and it needs to be replaced. This is a very expensive repair in addition to all the other repairs I have had done on this vehicle. Since nearly the beginning of owning the car (brand new) I have had sluggish engine issues, car stalling while driving, recently driving and the Idler Pulley fell off and had a loss of power making it extremely difficult to pull of the freeway. I am so frustrated with this enormous expense and am wondering if anyone else has experienced this issue, if anyone has had any luck contacting GM about this issue, etc? My car has approximately 92,000 miles on it.
