getting a 'nox soon

Hi all- I'm new to the site and will be a new Equinox owner soon. I'm ordering a '12 and knew exactly what (I thought) I wanted till I read some of your posts, so help!:help:
Here's what I want- Gold mist 2lt with jet black leather and the net and shade. Right now they didn't feel like they would be able to take my order since the plant is shutting down soon to switch over to the '12. Since there is no rush on mine I took the "wait for the new model year" option.
What I need to find out is about the liftgate. I don't have a garage, but now y'all have me wondering if I'll be able to close the trunk. If the back is fully open how far off the ground do you have to reach to be able to close it.
And any other advise you have will be appreciated. I've done a lot of reaserch, but owning one and reading about one are two different things. I have a couple weeks before my order is "officially" placed.

I will measure it Sunday for you, I have the power lift gate and never paid any attention to how high it goes.

You can program the power liftgate to 2 settings. Full open, and then a setting of your choice, which is the one I use when I'm in my garage. To close the powerlift you have 2 viable options, use the keyfob, or use the button on the inside (but does go up with the door when its opened), but if your height challenged, and you programmed the door to whatever height you like, this shouldnt be out of reach.

Enjoy the new Nox when you get it. Mine has "quirks" but overall I'm happy with the purchase

looks to be 6' 2" off the ground.

I like that I can turn the power lift gate off when I have the bike on the terrain, keeps from crashing into it.

You can also set how high it goes by opening it then moving to were you want it to stop by hand then push and holding the close button, it should beep when it sets.

the order can't be placed till after 5-20. It will be at least August since that's when the '12s come out (chevy says Autumn for the 12's). Since I wouldn't know till 5-20 anyway if they could build the '11 or not and that wouldn't be in the dealership till at least early-mid July just gonna wait for the latest model. No new major design changes, but it will be built for me and in later years it will be better to have a '12 (I hope) I'm still checking in to learn more on here and look forward to showing some pics and adding to the forum.

Its already great just to have you here! We will be looking forward to those photos for sure.

I want to say that I bought my 2010 Nox in the end of July of 09. I would sure hope you get the 12!

not much to report...my order has been received for a '12. They start production July 18th. This happens to be the day my kids in class (I'm a teacher) return after summer break, so one way I want summer break to go kinda fast, but then again...hmm a slow summer break is good too LOL. Not many changes for the '12 I found out, I did find out the red paint jobs are out for Chevy (at least on most '12 models) Will share pics as soon as I get it. Thanks for welcoming me.
