Hello,

I just purchased a 2011 LS in which I thought was Bluetooth enabled. After getting it home I discovered the phone symbol on the radio referred to Onstar calling only. My bad for not looking into it further before buying, but either way it was a really good deal, super low kms and I am happy regardless of the missing bluetooth.

I thought I could just replace the factory head unit with an aftermarket that supported BT. I went to Crutchfield to see what models fit and they said "Due to physical or electrical compatibility limitations, radio replacement is not recommended"

Has anyone done this successfully? My vehicle does not have the Pioneer Audio System. All I really want is Bluetooth phone capability. Streaming audio would be nice but I can live without that.

Thanks in advance

Leave the head unit and look for aftermarket Bluetooth kits. There are many that hook to cigarette lighter and stream music and more in depth like parrot kits that hard wire in. eBay has a lot of kits just research ,research, research
Before you do anything. Google and read...
