Default My garage better appreciate this!!!!

Since moving into my place I've been wanting to coat my floor, it was painted already (pain the ass), but I wanted a nice "floor kit" to install.

Lets just say.....2 days of stripping/sanding/cleaning and finally etching completed! What a pain...but this better turn out nicely!

Plan on getting some nice cabinets setup after as well...still figuring those out, thats a project for later down the road

It's a lot of work but it looks good when done.
Have fun.

I used an etching product on mine, looks ok, I want to redo it.

Stripping
Sanding
Degreasing
and Etched

Then coated

Royal pain the ass...and off course in FL it had to rain after I put the top coat on, so waiting longer for dry time. Its an interesting product, as it was not an epoxy kit.

Application was easy (prep was horrible). Definitely a two man project, as the base coat starts to dry in 10mins!

Crappy blackberry photo

Thanks....Now to repaint the wall and get some nice metal cabinets

I'm leaning towards the Gladiator Series from Lowes/Sears, just because they are easily available. Just need a few, so not going to make it a "huge" project, but I always ***** about not having a small work bench, and they have a fold down version that I think would fit what I want....Just do not have the floor space to install one that doesnt fold up when not in use

I can't wait until I own a home... my garage is going to be pimp. I like those coatings alot.

If you don't mind me asking, how much did it set you back?

This kit was 249.00 from Lowes, enough to do a 2.5 car garage. If I added up all hte cleaning products I purchased in prepping the floor, I would say I spent around 300, as I purchased more "chips" as well

This is my first house as well....Now to finish the garage on the upcoming 3 day weekend! New paint on the wall, and new cabinets!

I stained mine, cause it was a way to be different, but
if I had it to do all over again I'd go the route you did.

How does the stain hold up? I was thinking of doing the patio around the pool in a stain

It holds up really well, but it's kinda dull and not very shiny.

I even cleared mine twice, it only shines when mopped

(It looked like glass when I first did it last year)
