The malibu is a redesign for 2013
The impala is earliest of 2014! I think because fleet sales are so good with the impala, when GM had to change the idea of making the Impala a G8 copy due nearly going bankrupt, they have just pushing the impala as long as possible in current form, but did update the engine/tranny
